No screens before bed, dark room, keep the temperature a little cooler than you have it during the day (optimal sleeping temperature is around 69f), try a white noise machine (I like the sound of rain and thunder) or ill listen to an audio book. Might try Lunesta (a sleep med) or trazedone (an anti depressant that makes you very drowsy) and then start some CBT and better sleep hygiene practices. Talking to my doctor soon, I have ambien but thats a temporary solution and doesn't help you stay asleep. So that tells me I am capable of sleep and it might partially be anxiety (about sleep) that's preventing me from falling and staying asleep.
